I have always had a love of wildlife and an intense interest in art. Living in Royalston for the past four years has given me the opportunity to observe wildlife in their natural habitat and those first hand experiences now motivate my artistic expression. I work in many different media; oil, pencil, wood and clay, yet I find woodcarving to be the most rewarding. My carvings include a variety of wildlife forms; birds of prey, songbirds, and mammals. As illustrated by my carving of a Red Tailed Hawk, I capture the wild feeling of living forms by rendering them in motion rather than at rest.
