A great group of folks opened up their yards for viewing. After purchasing maps, visitors were free to visit the gardens on their own, in any order. There were gardens of various sizes and styles from small to large, sunny to shady, and natural to cultivated. Attractions included a vernal pool, a meadow for butterflies, an old homestead, a labyrinth, a certified wildlife habitat, water gardens, and more. Dianne Salcedo was available at the Maple Valley Farm to answer gardening questions. Susan Heinricher was available at her garden to give ideas on creating a butterfly garden or getting your yard certified as a wildlife habitat.
The weather was beautiful, luring thirty folks to participate in the tour. They were Susan Bredesen, Anne Hachey, Alice Michaud, Janice McNamara, Susan & Ron Cloutier with grandsons Jared and Chris Laferriere, Deborah Reiter, Jean Kuniholm, Georgianna Barrus, Donna Cramer, Shirley & Harry Buell, Kathy Duguay, Betty Roberts, Sue Henk, David Larson, Susan Carlson, Frank & Elaine Pilesky with Brian and Erin, Florence Ritzer, Lisa Dunn, Tiffany Dunn, Dave Small, Eunice Small, James Mallet, Fred Gralenski.
