Leaders Choice Ode Trip

Celithemis elisa (Calico Pennant)
Nine members and friends of the Athol Bird and Nature Club enjoyed a beautiful summer day surveying several wetlands in the Athol/Orange area. Led by Dave small. we moved from Silver Lake to Lake Rohunta to the Kiwanis Park in Orange. 31 dragonfly and damselfly species and a dozen species of Butterfly were identified by the group. Highlights included several Banded Pennants, a Martha's Pennant and the first American Rubyspots observed in the area this season.
