Bearsden Conservation Area

Field Trip of the ABNC
18 May, 2009

Two birder's attended the walk to Bearsden on Monday. The weather was a cool 54 degrees, and there were a few black flies around.

The walk took place at the trail at the corner where the two houses are, rather than up on top from the regular parking lot. We had a nice chat with the owners of the big house which has the two black labs, and she very graciously offered her driveway and another spot for parking, should we have needed it. She hopes to attend one of the future walks.

The following birds were seen or heard:

Great Blue Heron
American Crow
Turkey Vulture Common Raven

Blue Jay
Mourning Dove
Black-capped Chickadee
White-throated Sparrow
American Robin
Catbird
Ovenbird
Yellow-rumped Warbler
American Redstart
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
House Wren
Common Yellowthroat
Kingfisher
Black & White Warbler
Killdeer
