Summer at Silver LakeIn addition to historic Victorian architecture, downtown Athol boasts a beautiful spring-fed lake. Right off of Main Street you will find Silver Lake, a popular site for swimming in the summer, and walking during any season.Thanks to its natural beauty the lake also supports several interesting species of wildlife, such as the Great Blue Herons pictured in this panel. Summer is an especially good time to watch these graceful predators pluck fish from the lake's shores. |
